Special Requirements and Equipment

  • There are no external software interfaces needed, no additional hardware required.
  • Dedicated POP3/SMTP email account for confirmations only. Username and password for the dedicated email account(IMAP, HTTP, yahoo.com, hotmail.com, etc. is not supported).
  • Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater
  • Web address to the email server
  • Username and address for the mail server

Message Templates
This feature allows the salon owner and staff to confirm appointments using email, drastically cutting down the volume of outbound confirmation calls. Create a customized message template that will include each client’s specific appointment details. Message templates can be updated and changed as often as necessary to include special seasonal promotions, product launches or new policies and procedures from the salon location.

HTML Message Options
Create more elaborate outgoing message templates with a little more html knowledge. Customize the look of the message by altering the font size and color as well as include images directly onto the outgoing message.

Sending Email Confirmations
Email confirmations are streamlined once the message template is created. Sending confirmations is as easy as selecting the date range of appointments you wish to confirm.


Receiving Email Confirmations
Clients have the opportunity to reply to the email confirmation message, which will automatically update their appointment status in SalonBiz®/SpaBiz®.


 

Frequently Asked Questions

Will all of the customers for the selected appointment date range be sent an email confirmation?
No, only customers that have email noted as their primary form of contact (in their customer file) with a full email address will be notified.

Can I find out which customers have an email address?
Sure, simply create the "Customers With An Email" report found in the Customer subcategory of the Reports area.

Can I write a message in html format?
Yes, Email Confirmations supports html format.

Can I send out an e-mail blast for something other than confirmations?
Not at this time, but you can export the email report to various file types. This allows you to insert them to your email client.

What if I have multiple locations?
Email Confirmation also supports multiple location capabilities for centralized booking environments.
