Supported Operating Systems:
- Windows 2000 Professional, Service Pack 6a; Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2; Windows Vista Ultimate Edition and Windows Vista Business Edition.
Non-Supported Operating Systems:
- Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Millennium, Windows XP Home, Windows Vista Home Basic, and Windows Vista Home Premium.
- SalonBiz®/SpaBiz® does not support any 64bit edition operating systems. This includes but is not limited to the following: Windows XP Professional x64, Windows Vista Home Basic x64, Windows Home Premium x64, Windows Business x64, and Windows Vista Ultimate x64.

Internet Access:
- Permanent broadband (DSL, Cable, T1) Internet connection. Internet bandwidth needed should be calculated on needing 50kb per workstation and printer.
- Static IP address is required with Credit Card Integration.

- Wireless networks are NOT supported in a Peer-to-Peer network.

SalonBiz Light ™ automatically stores all payment information so that the salon owner can monitor daily sales and reconcile all payments. This feature tracks client visits, products sales and services, collects payments, tracks discounts and automatically calculates taxes. Inventory
Proper inventory management is key to a salon business’ success.
SalonBiz Light ™ includes the tools needed to monitor inventory, determine ordering quantities, and discover which products are selling. All products have a file that houses vendor information andcurrent on-hand quantity is stored along with average cost of the product. Full inventory of products, purchases, order capability, inventory counts, adjustments and minimum/maximum settings are readily available.

SalonBiz Light™ provides basic reports on staff performance, inventory movement, and sales activity. It provides a variety of reports that can be used to monitor and evaluate your business. These reports include:

Can I use credit card processing with SalonBiz Light™?
Yes, SalonBiz Light ™Credit Card Integration streamlines your point of sale and your closing process while offering the ability to integrate credit card processing with the software. Within 1-3 seconds*, credit cards are authorized through Chase Paymentech, the largest credit card processor in the US, at competitive rates. (*Must have high-speed internet with a static ip address for this integration)
What happens if I outgrow SalonBiz Light ™?
Salons who outgrow SalonBiz Light™ can easily upgrade to the SalonBiz®/SpaBiz® Standard or Enterprise edition. SalonBiz®/SpaBiz® can accommodate you as your business grows with many options.
Does SalonBiz Light™ handle gift certificate and series sales and redemptions?
No, gift certificates and series are only available in SalonBiz®/SpaBiz® and SalonBiz®/SpaBiz® Enterprise.
Does SalonBiz Light™ handle gratuities?
Yes, you can choose to track gratuities through SalonBiz Light™. There are also two gratuity reports included for tracking and payment purposes.
Does SalonBiz Light™ offer a time clock feature?
No, the time clock feature is only available in SalonBiz®/SpaBiz® and SalonBiz®/SpaBiz® Enterprise.
